Can I cancel any time?
Yes, from the App Store, in two taps, and it keeps working until the end of the period you paid for — a week or a year, whichever you picked. We don’t email you to ask why. The one-off $79.99 has nothing to cancel.
What happens to my books if I stop paying?
You keep every PDF you’ve downloaded, forever — they’re yours, they’re on your device, and they don’t phone home. The app keeps your bookshelf read-only so nothing disappears; you just can’t make new ones until you’re back.
Does it work on the iPad?
Yes, and it’s better there — the reader lays out as a real two-page spread with the illustration on the left and the words on the right. One subscription covers every device you sign in on.
I've got three children at three different stages. Is that one subscription?
One. Up to 4 children, each with their own phonics stage, their own Cast, their own bookshelf and their own reading log. Nothing is shared between them except the bill.
Is my child's data used to train anything?
No. Nothing your child does is used to train anything, by us or by anyone else — there is no model in the app and no story is generated on a server. With no account it all stays on your device. If you sign in so the books reach a second device, it is stored in a database in Sydney and used for exactly that.
